Jerusalem, 13 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and Ministry of Health warned that there was a high level of air pollution across the country starting on Monday afternoon.
The high air pollution, explained the ministries, is a result of a high concentration of respirable particles due to a large depression causing dust to be transported north from Egypt up to Israel.
An improvement in air quality is predicted for Monday night.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection, in consultation with the Ministry of Health, recommends that sensitive populations, including cardiovascular patients, lung patients, the elderly, pregnant women and children, avoid strenuous physical activity outdoors.
The general population was advised to reduce strenuous physical activity outdoors.
