Israel Sees Continued Drop in Prostate Cancer Mortality

Jerusalem, 15 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Data released by the Israeli Health Ministry’s Center for Disease Control on Monday showed a continued decline in prostate cancer mortality in Israel. In 2022, 453 men died from the disease, down from 525 in 2021. The mortality rate remains low internationally, thanks to early diagnosis and effective Treatment, the ministry said.

Prostate cancer remains the most common cancer among Israeli men, with 3,335 new cases registered in 2022. Experts stress the importance of early detection, particularly for men over 50, and advise consulting a urologist if urinary or sexual health symptoms appear.
