Jerusalem, 21 september, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police said it has completed their preparations for the Jewish holidays, which will begin Monday, on the eve of rosh hashanah (September 22-24), and end after Simchat Torah (October 14).
Thousands of police officers and volunteers will be deployed throughout the country, at holy sites, on roads, in parks, and in entertainment centers, with the aim of maintaining order and security, allowing freedom of worship for all religions, and providing the best service to all citizens.
“The police’s preparations are designed to ensure that every citizen can celebrate, pray, and travel safely, while thwarting terrorism, preventing crime, and maintaining public order,” it said “Police forces will operate from the air, sea, and land throughout the holidays, and will provide a rapid response to any unusual event.”
During this period, heavy traffic is expected in shopping centers and congestion on main roads. Police forces will be deployed on roads, entertainment centers, parks and places of worship throughout the country throughout the holidays to maintain public safety, order and the flow of traffic.
“The purpose of the special police preparedness during this period is to ensure that every citizen in Israel can travel, spend time, and celebrate safely,” said the Police.
