Israel orders evacuation of Gaza’s Zeitoun area as IDF intensifies operations in northern Gaza. Residents directed to Mawasi coastal zone.
Jerusalem, 6 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces ordered residents of Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood to evacuate on Wednesday morning ahead of expanded military operations in northern Gaza.
“As you have been warned, the army continues to intensify its operations westward,” tweeted the IDF’s Arabic language spokesperson, Col. Avichay Adraee.
The tweet included a map directing residents to move to the Mawasi coastal zone in southern Gaza.
