Israel Moves Forward with Air Transportation Projects

Jerusalem, 26 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel is advancing into the era of smart air transportation: The Ministry of Transportation, the Innovation Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority, and the Ayalon Airlines Company are launching a third call for proposals as part of the Israel Air Transportation Initiative. The call is intended to expand the activities of the national initiative, which places Israel at the forefront of global innovation in the field of drones and UAVs.

The national drone initiative is part of the Ministry of Transportation’s vision to create a smart, safe, and sustainable transportation system for the benefit of all Israeli citizens. The initiative constitutes a unique experimental platform that connects advanced technology, innovative regulation, and diverse civilian applications, including future commercial uses such as express deliveries, advanced mapping, infrastructure monitoring, and even air transportation and air taxis in the future.
