Israel launches $88M plan to cut industrial emissions and energy use. NIS 300M program offers grants for cleaner fuels and energy upgrades. Apply by Sept 15.
Jerusalem, 4 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel has launched a NIS 300 million ($88 million) program to help industrial plants cut fuel use, reduce electricity consumption, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
The three-year initiative — backed by the Economy, Environmental Protection, Energy, and Finance ministries — offers grants of up to NIS 3.5 million ($1.03 million) for converting to cleaner fuels and upgrading energy-intensive systems. The grants support compliance with Israel’s new carbon tax and are part of the National Energy Efficiency Plan. Applications are open until September 15.
Economy Minister Nir Barkat called the plan “a significant milestone” in climate adaptation, while Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman emphasized its role in “promoting a green, efficient industry.”
