Israel Launches $20M Program to Train and Integrate Workers

Jerusalem, 3 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Economy and Industry launched new assistance tracks to support training and integration of workers, with a total budget of NIS 70 million ($20.8 million). The program includes two tracks — classroom training and apprenticeship — to help employers absorb new workers and upgrade the skills of existing staff.

Grants will range from NIS 9,000-NIS 36,500 ($2,600-$10,800) per employee, with additional funding for professions requiring complex training. Priority will be given to businesses in the periphery and designated populations, including Druze, Circassians, Arabs, and Haredim.

Economy Minister Nir Barkat called the initiative “a direct investment in the future of the Israeli labor market.”
