Israel Increases Cooperation with Ukrainian Holocaust Memorial Center Babi Yar
Jerusalem, 29 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — “Nativ – Prime Minister’s Office” promotes cooperation with the Ukrainian Holocaust Memorial Center “Babi Yar”. This partnership is aimed not only at commemorating the memory of the Holocaust, but also at preserving the rich cultural heritage of one of the most historically significant Jewish communities in the world – the Jewish community of Ukraine.
Nativ is an independent administrative unit at the Prime Minister’s Office. “Nativ” operates among Jews and their families throughout the FSU countries in order to tighten their ties with the State of Israel and broaden their knowledge about Israeli achievements, culture and heritage.
One of the main goals of Nativ is to support Jewish communities in the Eurasian space (the countries of the former Soviet Union) in strengthening their resilience and identity, especially in this challenging period, both for the Jewish people and for Ukraine. The two partner bodies are convinced that one of the most effective ways to combat anti-Semitism and the distortion of historical memory is an in-depth study of the past and the transmission of historical truth to future generations.
