Jerusalem, 17 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Health is informing the public on the achievement of the main goal in the national five-year plan to strengthen the nursing sector, with an updated figure for 2025 of 7.05 nurses per 1,000 people.
“This is a significant achievement that constitutes an important milestone on the path to improving the availability and quality of healthcare services in Israel,” said the Ministry.
As of this year, there are 71,387 licensed nurses under the age of 67 working in Israel, a figure that reflects a consistent growth in the nursing workforce while increasing the number of nurses and expanding their professional training in accordance with the needs of the system.
Last month, 2,800 nurses successfully completed the government licensing exams – further evidence of the expansion of the nursing system in Israel and the attraction of a young, diverse and dedicated population to the profession.
