Israel Expands Defense Production with $262M Elbit Agreement
Israel Ministry of Defense signs $262M deal with Elbit Systems to supply advanced air munitions, enhancing IDF capabilities and expanding defense production.
Jerusalem, 11 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Defense has signed a NIS 900 million ($262 million) deal with Elbit Systems to supply advanced air munitions for the Israel Defense Forces.
The Ministry’s Director General, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram said the agreement is part of efforts to expand Israel’s defense production base, ensuring self-sufficiency and meeting operational needs during and beyond the current war.
Elbit CEO Bezalel Machlis said the new systems will enhance IDF capabilities and could attract global interest for their adaptability to evolving battlefield demands.
