Jerusalem, 30 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Soldiers in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza demolished a tunnel more than one kilometer long, the Israel Defense Forces said on Friday.
“The route was used by the Hamas terrorist organization for terrorist activity, cynically exploiting civilian infrastructure,” the IDF said.
Soldiers from the Commando Brigade and Yahalom engineering unit, who discovered the tunnel, also killed several Hamas operatives hiding inside it.
