Jerusalem, 26 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In continuation of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s policy to promote 100,000 home solar energy systems in Israel by 2030, the Ministry published for the first time recommended specifications for installing solar systems on residential roofs for public use.
The specifications are designed to help homeowners interested in installing a solar system understand the professional requirements, ensure a safe and high-quality installation, and maximize savings on their electricity bill over time.
In parallel with the specification, and in order to provide citizens with end-to-end information, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is currently establishing a database of installers for businesses and companies that install home solar systems. The database will be published on the ministry’s websites and will be accessible to the general public. It will allow citizens interested in setting up a home solar system to contact the businesses and companies that install it directly, and will help them reach new audiences and expand their activities.
All installers in the database will undertake to provide interested customers with a price quote based on the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s specifications for a home solar system.
