Israel Confirms Returned Remains Belong to Lieutenant Hadar Goldin
Israel confirms the returned remains of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin. IDF identifies fallen soldier kidnapped by Hamas during Operation Protective Edge in 2014.
Jerusalem, 9 november, 2025 (TPS-IL) — After the National Center for Forensic Medicine completed the identification process in cooperation with the Israel Police and the Military Rabbinate, IDF (Israel Defense Forces) the remains returned to Israel today were confirmed to be those of Lieutenant hadar goldin, Representatives of the IDF informed the family of that their loved one had been returned to burial.
Lieutenant hadar goldin fell in battle during Operation Protective Edge, during the ceasefire violation in Rafah on August 1, 2014, and was kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization. Hadar, 23 years old at the time of his death, left behind his parents, a sister, two brothers, and his fiancée.
