Jerusalem, 12 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Chief Economist at Israel’s Ministry of Finance, Dr. Shmuel Abramson, and the Indian Ambassador to Israel, JP Singh, met Wednesday in Jerusalem with the negotiating teams from India and Israel, as part of an advanced round towards signing an agreement to encourage and protect investments between the countries.
Israel is expected to be one of the first countries to sign India’s renewed investment agreements, amid a joint decision by the countries to promote strategic economic ties between them.
The new agreement is expected to support the promotion of mutual investments between the parties, while providing certainty and protection for investors, and is expected to replace the old agreement signed between the countries in 1996.
