Israel and Germany Mark 60 Years of Diplomacy as Presidents Exchange State Visits

Jerusalem, 13 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Marking 60 years of diplomatic relations, Israeli President Isaac Herzog concluded his state visit to Germany on Tuesday and returned to Israel accompanied by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is beginning a reciprocal visit to Israel. Steinmeir’s itinerary includes a tour of the National Library of Israel and a visit to Kibbutz Be’eri. Herzog will present Steinmeir with the Israel Presidential Medal of Honor.
