Jerusalem, 15 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that the Israel Air Force on Sunday attacked an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad airport in eastern Iran.
At some 2,300 kilometers (1,430 miles) away from Israel, this was the furthest such strike from Israeli territory made by the Israel Air Force since the Operation “Rising Lion” to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities began.
“The air force is working to achieve air superiority throughout Iran,” said the IDF.
