Israel Air Force Strikes Hezbollah Weapons Depots Embedded in Lebanese Civilian Areas
Jerusalem, 18 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Air Force attacked several weapons depots belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s Radwan Force in southern Lebanon.
“The terrorist organization Hezbollah continues its attempts to rebuild terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon and to target the ‘Radwan’ unit with the aim of harming the State of Israel,” said the IDF (Israel Defense Forces).
The warehouses attacked were located in the heart of a civilian population and constitute another example of the terrorist organization Hezbollah’s “cynical use of Lebanese citizens as human shields and of the organization’s operations from civilian assets,” said the IDF
“The presence of the weapons that were attacked constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and endangered the residents of the area,” it added.
The Radwan unit in the terrorist organization Hezbollah planned and promoted the “Galilee Conquest Plan” for years. The unit’s commanders were eliminated in September 2024 in Beirut during the Northern Arrows operation, and since then the unit has been working to restore its capabilities. IDF forces have been working for the past two years against the unit’s attempts to rehabilitate and rebuild its strength.
