Jerusalem, 22 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — IAF (Israel Air Force) Commander Major General Tomer Bar and the IAF Head of Air Operations, Brigadier General Gilad Keinan directed, from the IAF operations center, the Israeli fighter jets that struck the “Imam Hussein” Strategic Missile Command Center in the Yazd area of central Iran Sunday afternoon, where long-range Khorramshahr (named after the Iranian city Khorramshahr) surface-to-surface ballistic missiles were stored. The missiles, said the IAF commander, were destroyed.

“In broad daylight, we surprised the Imam Hussein missile command post in central Iran, the furthest we have attacked so far,” said General Bar of the attack. “We destroyed the Khorramshahr missiles before they were launched at the State of Israel and hit the missile storage tunnels. We are continuing waves of attacks throughout Iran and continue to disrupt the ability to launch barrages into Israeli territory, reducing the capabilities of the fire systems and acting resolutely to defend and reduce the firing on the home front.”

In parallel, missile launchers were struck in Isfahan, Bushehr, and Ahvaz. Strikes were also conducted on military sites involved in the production of aerial defense batteries, Iran’s “Third Brigade” UAV command center, and a UAV storage facility near the command center.
