Jerusalem, 9 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Earlier today (Friday), Israel forces eliminated Nur Bitawi the head of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in Jenin, who had established terrorist infrastructure and planned attacks in the immediate future, reported the IDF (Israel Defense Forces).

Bitawi was killed in Shechem (Nablus) by IDF special forces during an attempt to arrest him. The forces surrounded the house where he was staying, and killed him and another terrorist.

The terrorist Nur Bitawi, promoted “significant terrorist activity” and was involved in directing, financing, and carrying out attacks against Israeli citizens and security forces. Bitawi also maintained ties with Hamas in Gaza and Hamas abroad, reported the IDF.

Bitawi was also responsible for funneling terrorist funds to Jenin and other villages in the area, and in this context, worked to recruit and arm terrorists to carry out attacks against IDF forces. At the same time, he led the production of explosives and their planting in the Jenin area.
