Iranian Terror Plots Blocked by ‘Iron Wall’ of Israel’s Security Services, Anti-Terror Chief Says
Jerusalem, 29 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The acting head of the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service), Maj. Gen. David Zini said that Iran’s attempts to enact acts of terror against Israel and Israelis came to nothing because they met with an “Iron Wall” of prevention from his organization. The comments came during a visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the Shin Bet headquarters on Sunday.
“The Iranian effort was met by an iron wall of Shin Bet thwarting, which left the Iranians with zero successes in realizing their intentions,” declared Zini.
He went on to say that his statement is backed up by the numbers, asserting that every day of “Operation Rising Lion” against Iran and its nuclear aspirations the Shin Bet thwarted an average of two “significant attacks.”
This figure is in addition to approximately 770 thwarted “significant attacks” plotted by Iran against Israel since the beginning of the year.
“This is a good opportunity to praise our colleagues in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and the Mossad (Israel’s international intelligence agency) for extraordinary offensive activity that led to unprecedented achievements,” said Zini. “In the same breath, I would like to praise and thank the thousands of Shin Bet employees who worked to deny our enemy any achievement inside the country.”
