Jerusalem, 12 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Hamas claims that Khalil al-Hayya, the organization’s leader in the Gaza Strip, who was the target of the Israeli attack against Hamas officials in Doha, survived. Hamas even issued a statement “on his behalf.”

“Al-Hayya prayed at the funeral of his son Hamam, in memory of those killed in the treacherous assassination attempt in Qatar,” the organization said, claiming that the funeral was held “after special security arrangements.”

However, although footage from the funeral was released, nowhere in it can the terrorist leader be seen.
