Jerusalem, 23 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A detection failure allowed an Iranian missile to strike Haifa without warning during Sunday’s barrage, the Israel Defense Forces said on Monday.
The military’s investigation determined that the warhead evaded alert systems due to a specific lapse in the detection process. The IDF emphasized that there was no malfunction in the Home Front Command’s alert infrastructure and that defense systems are not hermetic.
