GEOX.AI Brings Israeli Tech to Japan’s Climate-Risk Insurance Challenge
Israeli tech firm GEOX.AI partners with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance to enhance Japan's climate-risk insurance assessment using AI and 3D imaging.
Jerusalem, 2 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — GEOX.AI, an Israel-based provider of AI-driven property intelligence, has launched a new partnership with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance to assess building resilience across Japan. The initiative will use aerial, satellite, and 3D imaging to analyze tens of thousands of insured homes, identifying structures at heightened risk of fire or weather-related damage.
The pilot phase will begin in Hokkaido, one of Japan’s most hazard-prone regions, before expanding nationwide. With Japan facing stronger typhoons, aging housing, and rising insurance losses, the collaboration aims to improve risk-based pricing and support earlier intervention. GeoX, founded in 2018, operates in Israel, Europe, the U.S., and Japan.
