Jerusalem, 22 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that forces from its Southern Command, under the direction of the Military Intelligence and Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service), continue to fight against terrorist organizations throughout the Gaza Strip.

As part of this, elements of the IDF’s 162nd “Steel” Division operating in Gaza City, yesterday (Sunday) attacked a building from which terrorists from the Hamas terrorist organization launched two rockets towards the Lachish and Ashdod areas in Israel.

Furthermore, in the past 24 hours, the division’s forces have eliminated approximately 15 terrorists who were operating near IDF forces, and destroyed military infrastructure used by the Hamas terrorist organization.

At the same time, forces from the 98th Paratroopers Division continue to operate in the Gaza City area, launching attacks and eliminating terrorists. Yesterday (Sunday), an Israel Air Force (IAF) aircraft, operating under the direction of the division’s fire center, attacked a weapons manufacturing plant.

In addition, the division forces identified a terrorist cell operating near them in a manner that posed a threat, and directed an IAF aircraft that eliminated the terrorists.

In the Khan Yunis and Rafah areas in the southern Gaza Strip, forces of the 143d Gaza Division identified a number of terrorists operating in a military structure, and an IAF aircraft attacked the terrorists.
