Jerusalem, 15 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A four-and-a-half-year-old boy, a resident of northern Israel, died as a result of the flu. The child, who had serious underlying illnesses, was not vaccinated against the flu. The Ministry of Health notes that the flu epidemic in Israel is on the rise.

The Ministry of Health recommends that the entire population be vaccinated as soon as possible.

The ministry emphasizes that although the flu vaccine does not completely prevent illness, it reduces the severity in most cases.
