Firefighters Working in Five Fire Centers
As of 5:45 PM Thursday, the fire department is operating against the wildfires mainly in five fire centers: Neve Shalom, Latrun Interchange, Latrun, Zion Highway, Canada Park – all located to the west of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem, 30 April, 2025 (TPS-IL) — As of 5:45 PM Thursday, the fire department is operating against the wildfires mainly in five fire centers: Neve Shalom, Latrun Interchange, Latrun, Zion Highway, Canada Park – all located to the west of Jerusalem.
The are two main sectors: Highway 1 (the Jerusalem/Tel Aviv highway) at Latrun where 42 fire crews are operating and at the nearby Yad L’Shirion (national armored military memorial) where 45 fire crews are operating.
There is no air support at the moment and 105 crews are operating in the area.
Also, seven firefighters were slightly injured and returned to fight the fire in their sector.
