Jerusalem, 22 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel saw a negligible increase in the employment rate in May, 2025. This is according to data released by Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics.

Seasonally adjusted data for May 2025 (compared with April 2025, among persons aged 15 and over):

Participation rate in the labor force – 62.8% (62.7% in April).

Employment rate (the percentage of employed persons out of the total population) – 60.8% (same as in April).

Unemployment rate from the lab April our force – 3.1% (3% in April).

Participation rate in the labor force – 63% (62.7% in April).

Employment rate (the percentage of employed persons out of the total population) – 61% (same as in April).

Unemployment rate from the labor force – 3.1% (2.7% in April).

Employment rate excluding persons temporarily absent from work all week due to economic reasons – 60.8% (60.7% in April).

Percentage of persons temporarily absent from work all week according to selected reasons: economic reasons – 8.7% (2.9% in April), military reserve duty – 11.8% (3.2% in April), other – 0.7% (0.3% in April).

Percentage of men temporarily absent from work all week according to selected reasons: economic reasons – 11.4% (4.3% in April), military reserve duty – 22.6% (6.2% in April), other – 1.1% (0.4% in April).

Percentage of women temporarily absent from work all week according to selected reasons: economic reasons – 6.8% (1.9% in April), military reserve duty – 4.1% (1.1% in April), other – 0.5% (0.2% April.)
