Jerusalem, 18 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — According to the “Labor Force Survey for August 2025,” in August 2025 (compared to July 2025, among those aged 15 and over) the percentage of the labor force dropped to 62.3%, down from 62.7% in July.

Employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 60.4% (60.8% in July).

Percentage of unemployed in the labor force – 2.9% (3.1% in July).

Employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 60.6% (60.9% in July).

Percentage of those temporarily absent from work all week by selected reasons: economic reasons – 2.5% (4.5% in July), military reserve duty – 5% (8.6% in July), other – 0.5% (0.9% in July).

Percentage of men temporarily absent from work all week by selected reasons: economic reasons – 4.3% (9.9% in July), military reserve duty – 15.3% (21.6% in July), other – 0.9% (1.4% in July).

Percentage of women temporarily absent from work all week by selected reasons: economic reasons – 1.7% (unchanged from July), military reserve duty – 0.5% (2% in July), other – 0.3% (0.7% in July).
