Jerusalem, 15 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Dozens of suspects in the trafficking of weapons, ammunition and explosives were arrested. The arrests came after an undercover officer was deployed by the police last year as part of Israel’s ongoing struggle against illegal weapons offenses and violent crime in Arab communities.
After searches of suspects’ homes, police seized various weapons, substances suspected of being drugs, and vehicles.
During the operation of the undercover agent by the Jerusalem Police, and after a connection was established between the agent and the suspects in the arms trade and their trust in him was established, the suspects met with the agent to implement and carry out transactions in illegal weapons, ammunition and explosive devices.
After the payment of the money, the agent purchased various weapons from the suspects dozens of times, including dozens of weapons of various types, ammunition and dozens of explosive devices, in the same areas – the east of the city, the south of the country and the territories of Judea and Samaria.
