Decrease in Import of Major Appliances in September

Jerusalem, 23 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Tax Authority reported that in September 2025, compared to September 2024, imports of white goods (large appliances) decreased. Imports of refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers decreased by 31.1%, 50.6%, 25.1%, and 61.4%, respectively.

However, since the beginning of the year, imports of refrigerators and dryers increased overall by 9.6% and 8.4% respectively. Imports of washing machines, however, decreased by 18.6% and imports of dishwashers have remained almost unchanged compared to the same period last year.

Imports of televisions decreased by 43.7% in September 2025 compared to the same month last year. Cumulatively, January – September 2025 was a decrease of 23.5% compared to January – September 2024.
