Combat Engineers Special Forces Unit Gets New Commander
Israeli Combat Engineers Special Forces Unit, Yahalom, appoints new commander as Brigadier General (res.) Y. takes over from Colonel A. Secret identities revealed!
Jerusalem, 24 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Brigadier General (res.) Y. is stepping as the temporary head of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) Yahalom (Diamond) Combat Engineers Special Forces Unit of its Combat Engineering Corps. He will fill the role held by Colonel A., who stepped down from it on Wednesday, until a new permanent commander can be found.
Because Yahalom is one of the IDF’s special forces units, the identities of its officers are kept secret.
