Jerusalem, 12 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli coalition suffered a setback on Monday noon as it failed to secure approval for issuing emergency reserve call-up orders in the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
A revision in additional round of votes is expected, and sources indicate that support from representatives of the Orthodox parties — some of whom oppose the move — may be necessary to pass the motion.
