Cigarette Imports Decrease 9.5% in November

Jerusalem, 9 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Tax Authority reported that cigarette imports decreased by 9.5% in november 2025. The value of imports decreased by 5.2%. In the period January – november 2025, there was a decrease in quantity by 4.3% compared to January – November 2024 and an increase in import value of 10.8%. This is likely due to imports of more expensive cigarettes.

The value of other tobacco imports, which includes smoking tobacco, hookah tobacco, pipe tobacco, cigars, and heating tobacco units, increased in november 2025 by 11.1% compared to November 2024. Cumulatively since the beginning of the year, there was an increase of 5.9%.
