Ministry of Health Breaking News

A four-and-a-half-year-old child from northern Israel has died from influenza. The child, who had serious underlying health conditions, was not vaccinated against influenza. The Ministry of Health notes that influenza cases in Israel are increasing.

The Ministry of Health recommends that the entire population get vaccinated as soon as possible.

The Ministry emphasizes that although the influenza vaccine does not completely prevent illness, it reduces the severity in most cases.

The vaccine is available free of charge at health maintenance organizations (HMOs).
