Jerusalem, 25 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Minister of Defense, by virtue of his authority to declare terrorist organizations and foreign terrorist operatives under the Combating Terrorism Law, declared the following entities as foreign terrorist organizations and operatives:
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI)
Shahr Bank
Bank of Mellat (Shahr Mellat)
Sepehr Energy Jahan Nama Pars (SEJ)
Jamshid Eshaghi (JAMSHID ESHAGHI, designated by the US Treasury Department on 6.2.2025)
MAJID A’ZAMI (designated by the US Treasury Department on 11/29/2023)
Elias Niroomand Toomaj (ELYAS NIROOMAND TOOMAJ)
The announcements and the website of the National Headquarters for Economic Combating Terrorism (NHCT) state that the Central Bank of Iran has been declared to be a source of financing and transferring funds to the declared terrorist organizations, the Revolutionary Guards, the Quds Force, Hezbollah, and other terrorist organizations.
The additional banks that have been declared are involved in financing and transferring funds for the terrorist organization, the Revolutionary Guards, and its subordinate entities and operate under the direction of the Central Bank of Iran.
Regarding SEJ, it is stated that the company and its subsidiaries conduct illegal oil sales for Iran’s armed forces, bypassing international sanctions, and assists in financing the declared terrorist organizations, the Revolutionary Guards and the Quds Force. The sale of oil is used for military buildup and financing terrorist operations around the world.
