Attempt to Smuggle Ketamine Thwarted
Ben Gurion Airport Customs foil attempt to smuggle 2 kg of ketamine into Israel. Suspect arrested in Ramla. Investigation ongoing.
Jerusalem, 15 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Investigators from the drug unit at Ben Gurion Airport Customs succeeded in uncovering and thwarting an attempt to smuggle 2 kg of ketamine into Israel. A resident of Ramla in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of smuggling the drugs.
Investigators uncovered the drugs inside of a shipment imported from Belgium.
