Allenby Crossing “Closed Until Further Notice”
Israel closes Allenby Crossing between Jordan and West Bank 'until further notice' following attack by Jordanian truck driver.
Jerusalem, 23 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel announced today that it would be closing the Allenby Crossing between Jordan and the West Bank ‘until further notice’,
The crossing was initially closed on Friday, the day after two Israeli soldiers were killed in an attack involving stabbing and shooting by a Jordanian truck driver hired to transport humanitarian aid to Gaza. Since then, the crossing has reopened periodically, but remains closed to Gaza-bound aid.
The Israel Airports Authority, which oversees the crossing, said it would be closed as a result of a directive from the political echelon.
