Jerusalem, 31 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel Border Police over the past week arrested 628 Palestinians residing illegally in Israel. In operations in several districts across the country, another 69 Israelis were arrested on suspicion of transporting, harboring, or hiring them.
Earlier this week, in the Jerusalem area, security forces up an ambush along the security fence. During the activity, the force identified a group of suspects who jumped over the wall and began to flee. The forces began a chase after them, during which the suspects entered a nearby building and went up to the 13th floor in an attempt to hide on the roof of the building. The soldiers followed them up and arrested 32 illegal residents who were found there.
In another operation in Jerusalem, Border Police raided a building in the Tzur Baher neighborhood that was used to house illegal immigrants. During the operation, the soldiers located and arrested 28 illegal immigrants.
