Gil Tanenbaum Breaking News

Jerusalem, 3 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Holocaust Survivors’ Rights Authority distributed support totaling approximately 22 million Shekels ($6.4 million) to non-profit organizations that assist Holocaust survivors.

Support in the area of individual social assistance increased by approximately 84% and in the area of housing accessibility increased by 30% compared to last year.

The Authority last week distributed the remaining 2025 grants in the amount of 18,857,110 Shekels ($5.52 million) to non-profit organizations that assist Holocaust survivors.

“The principle guiding the Authority,” it said, “in distributing support is to improve the quality of life of Holocaust survivors in the community, so that they can take part in group social activities, along with improving the quality of life in their homes, especially for those confined to their homes.”
