Jerusalem, 28 october, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that in September 2025, 42 people were killed in road accidents in Israel, six, more deaths compared to September 2024 (36), an increase of 16.7%, and 13 more deaths compared to the monthly average for September in the years 2021-2023 (29), an increase of 44.8%.
Also in September 2025, the number of accidents totaled 500, a decrease of 28.2% compared to September 2024 (696), and a decrease of 37.3% compared to the September monthly average in 2021-2023 (797).
The number of seriously injured was 103, a decrease of 59.9% compared to September 2024 (257), and a decrease of 50.0% compared to the September average in 2021-2023 (206).
The number of casualties was 860, a decrease of 24.8% compared to September 2024 (1,144), and a decrease of 40.6% compared to the September monthly average in 2021-2023 (1,449).
In the months of January-September 2025, 353 people were killed in road accidents, 20 more deaths than the corresponding period in 2024.
