225 New Immigrants Arrive on First Flight to Handle Bureaucratic On Board
Jerusalem, 25 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The group of 225 new immigrants from the US and Canada, including 45 families and 125 children, along with young people and retirees, landed at Ben Gurion Airport the other day after undergoing an absorption process on the plane. The ages of the immigrants ranged from 9 months to 72. Among the immigrants were five doctors and 19 medical professionals.
Employees of the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption were also on the plane – in order to save on bureaucracy and ease the first days of acclimatization, during the flight the employees completed the full absorption process together with the immigrants, in which all the required forms were filled out and immigrant certificates were even issued. Also, for the first time, the immigrants were issued identity cards immediately upon landing.
