Jerusalem, 23 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The State Attorney’s Office of Israel filed what it called a “serious” indictment Thursday with the Central District Juvenile Court in Lod against a 16-year-old minor resident of the Shfela region (southwest of Jerusalem), accusing him of security offenses of contacting a foreign agent and passing information to the enemy.

According to the indictment, for several months the defendant had active contact with an Iranian agent, knowing that he was a hostile entity operating in an enemy country. The connection between the defendant and the foreign agent was established through the Telegram app, after the outbreak of the “Iron Swords” war, and then the agent assigned the defendant various tasks that were sometimes carried out in exchange for a payment that was transferred to the defendant’s digital wallet in the TrustWallet app.

Among the other tasks the defendant allegedly performed according to the agent’s instructions: printing and distributing inflammatory political posters, documenting their photography and video in public spaces, sometimes while setting them on fire, and documenting the defendant’s ID card.
