IDF forces from Divisions 91 and 36 continue to operate in the southern Lebanon area, as part of the forward defense effort to thwart Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure.
Yesterday (Monday), forces from the 769th Brigade identified a Hezbollah terrorist cell. Shortly thereafter, the Air Force attacked and eliminated the terrorist cell. In addition, the brigade’s forces located numerous weapons and propaganda materials belonging to the organization.
Division 91 forces identified additional suspects who were in proximity to IDF forces and posed a threat. The Air Force attacked and eliminated them as well.
Concurrently, Division 36 forces began conducting targeted raids in the southern Lebanon area. During these operations, forces identified terrorists who entered a structure near the forces. Immediately after identification, a tank fired at the terrorists and eliminated them.
Additionally, a structure where commanders of the ‘Radwan Force’ unit were gathered, and a weapons storage facility belonging to the organization, were attacked.
IDF forces will continue to operate to strengthen the forward defense line and prevent Hezbollah’s rearmament and recovery.
