The National Rescue and Extraction Unit deployed in Operation 'Lion's Roar' to rescue trapped individuals from destruction sites and maintain readiness.
Activity of the National Rescue and Relief Unit in Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’. The National Rescue and Relief Unit, a reserve unit of the Home Front Command specializing in rescuing trapped individuals from destruction sites, operates in destruction zones both in Israel and abroad. As part of Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’, the unit’s forces arrived at all impact sites and worked to rescue trapped individuals and clear the destruction sites. Concurrently, the unit is investigating the impact sites and conducting training adapted to the changing situation on the ground and all challenges, in order to maintain optimal readiness for saving lives in various zones.
