Four Arab-Israelis Arrested On Suspicion of Smuggling Weapons from Egypt
Four Arab-Israeli men, including two from Bir Hadaj, have been arrested on suspicion of using a drone to smuggle weapons from Egypt.
Jerusalem, 22 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Two Israeli citizens, residents of the Bedouin town Bir Hadaj located near the Sinai border, were arrested by Security Forces on suspicion of involvement in the smuggling of weapons from Egypt by use of a drone. The two are Hussam Abu Gardoud, 23, and Mustafa Miatal, 22.
A drone was seized near the location and time of their arrest, carrying three M16 weapons.
Following the interrogation of the two, two additional suspects, residents of the Negev, were arrested for questioning: Fuad Al-Zidat, a 30-year-old resident of Masoud al-Azazma, and Fuad Suarka, a 24-year-old resident of Bir Hadaj.
