Jerusalem, 9 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s efforts to return its nationals from abroad continued on Monday with two flights landing in Israel overnight and early Monday morning, bringing 604 passengers home.
“The operation is part of a coordinated effort by all relevant parties to return Israeli citizens to Israel in a safe and gradual manner,” the Ministry of Transportation said.
In addition, a separate flight from Dubai to Athens carried 121 passengers continuing their journey back to Israel. According to the ministry, “After most of the Israelis were brought back, demand figures on the Dubai-Athens route decreased, so it was decided not to continue operating additional flights on that route.”
The plane that arrived in Israel is now returning to Dubai, and in line with international safety regulations, crews are required to rest before the next flight.
Authorities estimate that several more rounds of flights will be needed to complete the operation, which aims to bring thousands of Israelis back in the coming days.
