According to the indictment filed by Adv. Guy Gofman from the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office, Sharabi is accused of repeatedly violating the conditions imposed on him as part of a supervision order for 4 years, which began upon his release from prison at the beginning of last month. He was sentenced for sex offenses he committed against the complainant.
Sharabi is accused of violating two orders: first, a prohibition on contacting the victim and a restraining order from her vicinity and residence, and second, a prohibition on entering a designated area in Bnei Brak, where her home is located.
After violating the orders, he was arrested and released under restrictive conditions, and was forbidden from entering Bnei Brak for 15 days. When he also violated these, the court ordered his release under restrictive conditions, including house arrest at the home of a relative, whom Sharabi presented as a proposed supervisor, without her knowledge or consent, thereby obstructing legal proceedings. Additionally, he did not stay at her apartment at any point.
The indictment attributes to Sharabi offenses of violating a supervision order, violating a legal order given for the protection of a person, violating a legal order, and obstructing legal proceedings.
In the prosecution’s request to detain Sharabi until the end of the legal proceedings against him, it is stated that his dangerousness is amplified in light of his “criminal record, which includes eight previous convictions for various offenses, including sex offenses, violation of a supervision order, violation of a court order intended to protect a person, assaulting a public official, property offenses, threats, violence, and more,” for which he was sentenced to several lengthy prison terms.
