Today, February 26, 2026, as part of the Prime Minister of India’s official visit to Israel, a Letter of Intent was signed in Jerusalem between the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD) and India’s National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Center (NCIIPC). A ceremony was held in the presence of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The documents were exchanged by Brig. Gen. (Res.) Yossi Karadi, Director General of the INCD, and Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary of India.
The ceremony marked the official announcement of the Israel-India Joint Center of Excellence for Cyber Defense Research and Cooperation. The Center will focus on leveraging the capabilities of both nations to bolster resilience against Cyber Threats and promote mutually secure technological growth, while creating expansion opportunities for the cyber industries of both countries.
The guiding principles outlined in the document include, among others: Human capital development, Joint R&D, Specialized facilities such as establishment of dedicated cyber research laboratories and Enhancing operational readiness through joint cyber exercises and the formation of task forces to enhance Critical Infrastructure Protection.
Yossi Karadi, Director General of the INCD, stated:

The synergy of these strengths creates a complementary foundation that serves as a powerful national and multi-national force multiplier. This partnership is set to accelerate product development, expand the global footprint of Israeli companies, and establish a long-term strategic growth engine for cyber defense between our two nations.”
