The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, held a situation assessment today (Sunday) with the Commander of the Home Front Command, Maj. Gen. Shai Klepper, the Commander of the Air Defense Array, Brig. Gen. K’, and additional commanders.

“During the night, we operated against Iranian Quds Force elements in Lebanon, in Beirut, and struck them. I tell you that there is no safe place for the Iranian forces of evil, anywhere in the Middle East, not in Beirut and not anywhere else,” the Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, began. “Alongside this, we have experienced quite a bit of fire on northern communities, and there was also an incident last night – I wish to send my condolences from here to the families of the fallen and wish our wounded a speedy recovery.”

“Hezbollah is an extremist arm of the Iranian octopus; it is paying and will continue to pay a heavy price for this. Israel has been in a state of continuous emergency for two years. We currently need to show perseverance and patience. This will take a long time, you need to be prepared for this, and however long it takes, it will take.”

“And to you I say, you know this very well – the side that will win is the one that shows determination and perseverance. We know our home front; it has great resilience. I am convinced of the strength of our home front to provide us with all the necessary backing to achieve our goals.”

“I know that civilians at home are often forced to enter protected spaces. We are constantly examining the guidelines in light of the situation. And I say to the citizens – be attentive and act according to the guidelines. We are all here together in this effort, the Air Force pilots, the Armored Corps, Infantry, and Engineering forces who are on the border lines and in Lebanon now, all together in this effort. This is a very large effort. And I tell you more than that, I spoke about the perseverance and determination required of all of us, and this is the war of our generation, this is a critical war, this is a fateful war. This war will determine our future and security here for many years to come.”
