Israel Engages in Labor Rights Enforcement Campaign

Jerusalem, 30 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A nationwide labor rights enforcement operation is underway across Israel.

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, inspectors from the Labor Law Regulation and Enforcement Administration participated in a nationwide enforcement operation led by the State Attorney’s Office, the Israel Police, and the prime minister’s Office, with the participation of dozens of regulators, including the Tax Authority, National Insurance, and the Ministry of Health.

The activity took place throughout the country, from Nahariya to Tel Sheva, and focused on crime hotspots in Arab society.

As part of the activity, the administration’s inspection teams were sent to various businesses that were inspected, such as butcher shops, factories, bakeries, restaurants, and cafes.

The investigation in the field revealed suspicions of labor law violations, including: employing a minor in hazardous work and violations of all youth labor provisions, failure to maintain a time book, failure to pay a pension extension order, failure to pay overtime, and more.

“The Regulation and Enforcement Administration will continue to act resolutely to protect the rights of workers, to strengthen enforcement in Arab society and in places where it is required, and to promote a fair and equitable labor market for all citizens,” it said.
